A residential building with an energy box
A cottage in Purgstall, Austria, has recently had an ÖkoFEN Energy Box installed. The unit was delivered by crane-lorry and installed on foundations which were prepared beforehand. The 20kW PELLEMATIC heating system will heat the entire cottage which comprises four flats. The Energy Box's fuel storage capacity of 9.5 tonnes of wood pellets is sufficient to heat the entire building for one season. The maintenance of the heating system is overseen by ÖkoFEN, who are also contracted to manage wood pellet delivery, meaning that the residents are responsible only for paying for their heat consumption.
